The three treasures to remember.

We all have a big treasure chest inside ourselves. We can choose from different emotions
depending on the situations we encounter. It is easy to be reactive and let our emotions
be like an uncontrolled missile. But what if like in Chemistry we can choose the
right ingredients wisely? This would be more beneficial to us and others.
One of my favorite poems about the three treasures is in the Tao Te Ching. Here it is.

“I have just three things to teach:
simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and in thoughts,
you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world”
