Strength and Softness
I have been thinking a lot about this subject.
Society often shows a leader who is tough, acts like a rock and seems to be
better equipped than superman or superwoman.
But real strength comes in being soft, not in being hard.
Look into nature and experience the softness that she gives us.
The soft sunshine that brightens our day
The soft water that lessens our thirst
The soft flower that tells us the story of life
Be soft my friends even when you deal with hardness around you.
Here is one of my favorite poems about softness.
Tao Te Ching – Lao Tzu – chapter 76
A man is born gentle and weak.
At his death he is hard and stiff.
Green plants are tender and filled with sap.
At their death they are withered and dry.
Therefore the stiff and unbending is the disciple of death.
The gentle and yielding is the disciple of life.
Thus an army without flexibility never wins a battle.
A tree that is unbending is easily broken.
The hard and strong will fall.
The soft and weak will overcome.
Have a great week with lots of laughter ☺))
